Westfield Medical paper and foil packaging
Paper and foil packaging is a modern sterilization packaging used for packing various materials subject to sterilization in saturated water vapour in hospitals, clinics, and surgeries. It is characterised by high resistance to tear, puncture, stretching in dry and wet conditions, very high sterilizing agent permeability (water vapour), and an excellent anti-contamination barrier. In proper conditions it can be stored in a sterile state for long periods. The packaging meets the following norms: European EN 868, British BS 6871 and German DIN 58953. The paper part of the packaging has an indicator of the sterilization stage – a pink box which changes into brown when the sterilization is complete.
